IS HAVING BAD GRADES IN SCHOOL A SIN?

As a student, doing well in school is your most important "job," and as Christians, we should be committed to doing the best we can at any job God has put in our lives Col 3:23-24 says, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
You are not only trying to get good grades in order to do well and have a nice transcript for college (and maybe monetary rewards), but you are also glorifying God by being committed to doing the best you can
1 Corinthians 10:31 tells us, "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Going to school and being a good student is definitely one way to give glory to God with your life. Try to be the best student your teachers have ever had by studying hard, being kind and respectful to everyone at school, and doing good work on your assignments, papers, and speeches.
All that said, it is NOT a sin to get bad grades (or even just mediocre ones). Your letter grade is neither sinful nor unsinful. It's a neutral thing. Sin occurs in our hearts, our motivations, and our attitudes—not in the actual thing itself.
For example, if you are truly trying your hardest at school and seeking help when you don't understand, but you are still struggling to make As or Bs or even a C, that's OK. It is not a sin. Do try to find a tutor or someone else who can help you though, because it is definitely frustrating and distracting to have a hard time learning things at school. That frustration can lead to sinful actions like anger toward others, resentment, bitterness, etc.
However, if you are slacking off and the result is a report of low grades, then you are not "doing all for the glory of God," and that IS a sin. Your low grades would be a natural consequence of your actions though—not a sin. The sin is in the attitude of not caring about whether or not you do your best.
Take it easy sometimes! Yes, do your best, but don't overdo it to the point that you hurt your health or relationships. Remember, while good grades are important, they should not be the most important thing in your life. Your heart, attitude, and motivations are what God is concerned about, and His deepest desire is to help you develop into Christ-likeness (Matthew 6:19-34). God is interested in having a relationship with you as His child—not hounding you about the letters on your report card.

PEER PRESSURE 1

The overwhelming influence of peer pressure starts early in life and many at times goes unnoticed, children want to use toys majority of children use ,this is however a desire to conform it however becomes irritable as one grows up and their behavior  changes from toys love, to sex, drug abuse, violence, cultism, terrorism and other terrible vices too numerous to mention peer pressure is not all bad actually it can make an individual excel in life and more in his or her academics performances.
Peer pressure is the influence on a peer group, observers and individuals that encourage, stimulates others to change their attitude and life style to conform to a group, it may even occur un-knowingly an individual may not know he has been positively or negatively influenced , the visuals may be seen in the change in dress patterns, style, behavior, appearance. Either way one can observe a lifestyle and start making conscious efforts towards being affiliated with the group the person appreciates
Negative peer pressure should not be taken lightly especially when our teenagers of today have no identity and are always looking forward to the conform to the norm damning its consequences the fear of feeling different is a taboo and is highly prohibited in-fact it is like, a rape case to be left out these spontaneous effect, however it can be minimized although it varies from individuals to individual.

ELECTRONIC LEARNING

The world is evolving every day, the days of letter writing expelled the donkey and carrier method from the school of life, how quickly did this happen? we cannot tell and since the advent of emails and social media they have prophesied the extinction of letter writing (professionally and unprofessionally). Before now it was slates, followed by the blackboards and marker boards all these are all evolving for the betterment of mankind.

Schools in foreign countries employ a high degree of electronic aided learning in syllabus to ease the transition of books to tabs students now attend classes with their laptops, notepads, tabs and smart phones these are all learning and lethal distracting aids , and the Rivers State University of Science and technology is not slacking among other Nigerian institutions in its pursuit in becoming the first e-learning Centre, However this gradual transformation has been stalled by some little gigantic factors of which only a few were examined here.
Inability of lecturers to learn, most lecturers believe that they have come to the climax of learning because of various qualification so they have refused to learn how to use computers, they prefer their old brown notes (touch tear) to tablets, well few of the young ones are actually gearing up and embracing electronic learning and teaching as projectors, laptops and tablets are now introduced in to the class room environment to aid learning for students this is a cleaner, cheaper, more convenient and most efficient way to  learn.
Another goliath of Israelites is the pace of transition from books to electronic devices (laptops, tablets and smartphones) this transition is a discipline on its own anyone who grew with pen and paper may have to dedicate extra time in trying to absorb knowledge electronically they may copy directly just to read from their books, as a testimony from me reading from a book and a laptop are entirely two different things  this process of moving from paper to screen is still conceptual in the minds of many and should be eradicated the world has been made small by the internet a whole library has been compressed into a regular self-contain in the streets of port Harcourt, and all the dictionaries and encyclopedias has been written into small jotter. Electronic learning should be sung like the national anthem.
Ways in which this menace can be reduced are outlined below
Payment of bonus to lectures who use electronic aids (laptops, projectors e.t.c ) to teach and examine students as this will motivate and inspire the  blockheads to act responsible, also mini laptops and tablets with lesser features compared to the original should be made available at subsidize their costs rate and they should be introduced to all arms of learning in the country this will ease the transition process as students will be more familiar with these gadgets. How long much  can you remember after reading from a laptop? Practice 30 mins every day the world is not waiting for you, you either catch up or cave up.
