Following a delayed bug that held the initial release of the anticipated Apple watch software upgrade few days ago, Cupertino has today, released the watchOS 2, announced at its recent iPhone event.
The software update is already available for download in the Watch app for iPhones.
According to the company, watchOS 2 will allow developers build easily interactive and independent watch apps. Independent in the sense, being able to work without requiring a synchronized device.
watchOS 2 has integrated the company’s digital voice assistant Siri and it’s new payment platform Apple Pay, also bringing new custom watch faces, Photo, Photo Album, and Time Lapse.
On matters of security, the software upgrade now makes it impossible for someone else to get access to, or reset/wipe your watch’s data, with its Activation Lock feature.
