As this will serve as a deterrent to incoming political office holders because they will definitly be witch hunted by the incoming government.

“I’m calling on the new administration to investigate what happened to our monies as soon as Buhari takes over power on May 29. With that, some of the stolen funds would be recovered.”
The report quoted the former minister as describing the Jonathan administration as a “very corrupt” one bequeathing a more than $60 billion debt burden to its successor.
Mr. Danjuma, the paper said, expressed anger at how the Jonathan government had, with its “financial recklessness”, frittered away the nation’s wealth, leaving the treasury almost empty.
The former minister therefore advised Mr. Buhari to, on assumption of office, probe persons believed to be corrupt.
The two bridges inaugurated by Mr. Danjuma are worth N500million and the former minister said the project is meant to curb the frequent accidents on the Takum-Katsina Ala Federal Highway as a result of the collapse of the bridges.
“The project started when I noticed the deplorable state of the bridges and realised that they had become death traps and a major cause of serious disabilities in the society, over the years.
“Being aware that this is a Federal Road, I sought and obtained permission from the Works Ministry and the work commenced.
“We worked closely with the ministry and other relevant bodies and today, the challenges are over and I am glad this is over,” Mr. Danjuma said during the inauguration ceremony.
He observed that the road had not been given any serious attention since the end of the Nigerian Civil War.
He called on the Minister of Works to award the contract for the construction of the road to a competent civil engineering company.
Mr. Danjuma handed over the bridges to Taraba Government for handover to the Federal Government.
