Accra, Ghana (CNN)The death toll has risen to 150 people in an explosion and fire at a gas station in Accra, Ghana's capital, the country's fire service said Thursday.

President John Dramani Mahama has declared three days of mourning starting on Monday.

The blast occurred as the city coped with heavy flooding caused by torrential rain.
