The
story is always the same: in year one she's wearing long pleated muddy
brown skirts with big blouses, brown sandals on dusty feet and wearing
her natural hair every other day. By the time she gets to her third
year, she's on really skinny high waist jeans, see-through tank tops,
cute gold sandals, braids that get to her waist and her lips are
blinding red with an attitude.

Why
the drastic change? Is she just developing herself or has she abandoned
her old ways because of her peers and environment? Who is she really?
We
all know people with this story. We may even be people with this story.
Some friends who were quiet and humble in the first year suddenly
change and become this loud and kind of arrogant person. It always
happens. You begin to ask yourself if you ever really knew the person or
if you ever really knew yourself if that is your story.

For
the ones who changed, like me, I say kudos to you. One constant thing
in life is change. I mean the positive change. Now if you change into
something ugly, that's the bad part. Changing does not mean we change
who we are on the inside. Am still the same quiet and humble girl but in
better clothes and with better self-esteem. I don't need to be better
than everyone else. I just need to be the best version of me. Life is
not a competition. As important as looks may be, it is not the most
important thing.
Be
the very best version of you. Don't let anyone or anything pressurize
you or intimidate you so much that you begin to lose sight of who you really
are. Stay true to yourself
