The Oyo state polls saw it's incumbent re-emerge victoriously, as Mr Ajimobi Abiola of the APC defeated his rivals. Rasheed Ladoja of the Accord party, Alao Akala of the Labor party and former senetorial leader Teslim Folarin he scored: 327,310, Accord: 254,200, Labor: 184,111, his victory has been referred to as a break in the jinx as no other governor as returned to govern the state.
